Lenta TSACS commisionned in Baikal ice arena in Irkutsk

On September 2, "Baikal" ice hockey and speed skating center was put into operation in Irkutsk, where the first stage of Russian Field Hockey Cup will be held from September 11 to 16 Eight teams will take the ice of "Baikal": from Finland, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Russia, Estonia, Germany, Norway, and the United States.

The high-tech sports facility impresses both with its architecture outside and with its large-scale ice arena inside. Currently the ice field is used for training hockey players of Baikal-Energy.

Advance booking of tickets for the Cup matches started on September 8. The first to buy tickets were Vladimir Matiyenko, the President of Irkutsk Region Field Hockey Federation, and Maxim Nikolayev, General Director of SDS-Stroy LLC.

Infomatika was contracted to equip "Baikal" ice arena with a ticketing system. The Lenta-Stadium TSACS deployment project included a full range of work on automating ticket sales, manufacturing and installing access control system equipment in "Baikal" ice arena.
Entrance units are equipped with high-tech Horizon turnstiles.

To be admitted to a match, viewers need to scan a printed ticket or the barcode of an electronic ticket from the mobile phone screen. Fans can buy e-tickets and season tickets for the team games without additional fees and commissions in the online store on the event website.
