Comprehensive equipment of the Kaliningrad football stadium with the LENTA ACS ticket system and the spectator access control system (SACS) in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Software adaptation to the FIFA requirements

In preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Infomatika equipped the Kaliningrad football stadium with an advanced ticket and access control system and a spectator access control system. Following the World Cup, the stadium became FC Baltika's home arena.

Infomatika was contracted by FIFA Ticketing to build an access control system at World Cup 2018 stadiums and provided the full scope of creation and technical support of an access system during the Championship. The stadium hosted 4 group stage matches of World Cup 2018, which were attended by a total of 132,249 spectators.

During the 2018 World Cup matches, Infomatika engineers were at the stadium helping to provide technical support for the access system.

The stadium equipment project included:

  • detailed design;

  • installation of the LENTA ACS hardware and software package;

  • Building the Baltika FC ticket system;

  • LENTA ACS application software adaptation to the FIFA requirements;
  • development and introduction of ticket operator, FIFA accreditation system, and WC 2018 Fan ID system interfacing buses;
  • introduction of integration solutions for third-party ticket operators to work in the championship legacy mode;
  • installation of pedestal double-arm turnstiles - 60 pcs;
  • installation of motorized gates – 13 pcs;
  • installation of motorized full–height one-pass turnstiles - 92 pcs;
  • installation of full-height gate turnstiles - 6 pcs;
  • supply of mobile Lenta-Linea Pro NFC ticket check terminals for investigation team – 9 pcs;
  • providing Wi-Fi access points – 19 pcs;
  • installation of cashier automated workstations (AWS) – 7 pcs; manager AWS – 3 pcs; accreditation AWS – 3 pcs; NCC AWS – 2 pcs;
  • commissioning.
Kaliningrad Football Stadium (after 06.08.2023 - Rostekh Arena) is the 35,000 seats home arena of the Baltika football club. The stadium was designed specifically for FIFA World Cup 2018.
