Built specifically for the 2023 Hockey World Youth Championship, the Sibir-Arena Ice Sports Palace in Novosibirsk is a multipurpose arena featuring state-of-the-art technical equipment. The Ice Palace is designed to hold the Sibir hockey club KHL games. The six-storey complex with a total area of 72 thousand square meters and a unique architecture can accommodate 10587 spectators and is the home arena of the Novosibirsk Sibir hockey club and the Siberian Snipers youth team. Its 60 x 26 m hockey rink format is similar to that of the NHL. The main arena can be transformed to be suitable to hold forums, concerts, etc.

Infomatika has equipped Novosibirsk's largest sports facility with the Lenta ticketing system, performing a full range of work to automate ticket sales and access control. 

The project involved:

Introduction of Lenta TSACS

The dedicated, feature-rich ticketing system is installed at the sports venue to fully automate all procedures linked to the sale of individual tickets, season passes, and associated services during sporting and entertainment events.

The outer contour of the sports palace is equipped with 38 passages with full-height turnstiles outfitted with Infomatika's Interactive Multipurpose Control Modules (IMCM - 42 pcs) with built-in barcode/QR code readers, a large color screen, and a facial recognition IP camera.

The inner access control circuit was equipped with 37 Horizon half-height smart turnstiles and a Navigator smart gate to enable limited mobility visitors access the facility.

Mobile Lenta Data Terminal terminals are used by stewards to check ticket as additional access control equipment.

Development and launch of online ticket sales store on Sibir-Arena web site

Infomatika has engineered and launched an online ticket sales store on the Ice Palace website. The online store is designed in accordance with the corporate identity of the facility, implemented as a tertiary domain.

Integration with related systems

Integration with external ticket agents allows selling tickets both through the facility's ticket offices and the official online ticket store and through ticket operators.

The ticket system will be integrated with a facial recognition system and a parking system.

Scope of equipment:

  •     Introduction of Lenta-Sport TSACS software;

  •     Manufacture, supply and installation of UCR–7A outdoor IMCM on full-height turnstiles - 42 pcs (for 38 pass points);

  •     Manufacture, supply and installation of half-height Horizon turnstiles on the entrance groups of the inner security circuit - 37 pcs;

  •    Manufacture, supply and installation of half-height double-leaved Navigator entrance gate for handicapped people - 1 pc;

  •    Supply of mobile ticket check Lenta Data Terminal – 4 pcs;

  •    Backend node and personnel workstations equipment: cashier AWS - 5 pcs, manager AWS - 2 pcs, NCC AWS - 1 pc;

  •    Development and launch of an online ticket sales store;

  •    Software integration gateway with third-party agents database;

  •    Facial recognition system integration gateway;

  •     Parking system integration gateway;

  •     Equipment commissioning operations.

New Sibir-Arena Ice Palace , Novosibirsk. The facility was built for the 2023 Hockey World Junior Championship. It is a six-storey complex with a total area of 72 thous square meters and a unique architecture. The Ice Palace's capacity is 10,587 spectators. It is the main home stadium of Novosibirsk Sibir hockey club and Siberian Snipers youth team.
