Moscow Sun ferris wheel, Moscow

Equipping the largest Ferris wheel in Europe with the Lenta-Park ticket system. A comprehensive scope of work on ticket sales and access control.

Implemented in 2022

In September 2022, the 140 m high Moscow Sun, the largest Ferris wheel in Europe, opened at the Southern entrance of VDNH.The attraction comprises 30 enclosed cabins with five having a transparent floor, with a video surveillance system, a talk button, and climate control. One turn of the Ferris wheel takes 18 minutes and 40 seconds. The Moscow Sun can accommodate up to 450 people at a time. The wheel is designed for year-round operation at temperature range from -10°C to +40°C. The attraction has become another all-season attraction point in the capital, a new landmark of Moscow.

In order to sell tickets and control visitors' access to the attraction, Infomatike provided comprehensive equipment of the Moscow Sun with a state-of-the-art Lenta-Park ticket system.

The project included:

  • Development, manufacture and installation of unique TSM-22 ticket sales terminals

Bright, modern, ergonomic terminals branded in the style of the attraction. Easy to use thanks to a well-designed interface and interactive prompts. Suitable payments with contact and contactless bank cards. The terminals feature simultaneous ticket printing with the necessary fiscal functions, in accordance with Federal Law 54-FZ. Equipment scope - 10 pcs.

  • Building a multi-level ticket access control system.

Visitors access control procedure is based on fixed Horizon (6 pcs) and Contour Bio (2 pcs) turnstiles and Navigator automatic gates (3 pcs). Mobile ACS'S Lenta  are used as auxiliary devices (3 pcs).

For the Fast Pass zone, a special engineering solution has been developed that provides additional turnstiles for those visitors who have paid for using an attraction out of turn.

  • Development and launch of an online ticket store on the park's website.

The online store is designed in full accordance with the website's corporate style. Thanks to the deployed functionality for transferring visit dates, customers can adjust the visit time in the purchased ticket via their personal account on website.

  • Integration with related systems.

The company's programmers have integrated Lenta TSACS with CRM systems (b2b and b2c), ERP, and 1C, and implemented the park occupancy management mechanism. A special algorithm controls ticket sales at ticket offices, on the website, and at ticket terminals, depending on the number of visitors in the park. When the maximum number of guests is reached, ticket sales on the website or at terminals, as well as passes through turnstiles, are temporarily restricted.

  • Equipment of the server node and staff workstations.
