On August 30, 2022, a new high-tech Bashir Rameyev IT Park was opened in Kazan.The Technopark aggregates startups, IT companies, creative initiative young people and representatives of investment funds from all over Russia and neighboring countries, attracting those who create new technology companies in the republic.There is a Children's IT Park in the Technopark as well as a 1,100 square m.cyber arena which is the largest in the Volga region and the second largest in Russia.

Infomatika equipped the IT park with a unique multi-level access control system in line with the vision of the Technopark as a hub for cutting-edge ideas and technology.The system is based on paperless and cardless technology: all types of media for staff and visitors are stored in a smartphone.To use the access control system, no physical passes are required, only a mobile application. All interactions between the visitor and the venue are effected online, including the issuance of permanent and one-time passes, booking meeting rooms, and the payment for coworking facilities.

The IT park entrance spaces are equipped with a modern access system based on Contour Bio swing smart turnstiles and automatic Concept gates manufactured by Infomatika. With the use of the turnstiles' integrated 5" color displays, QR code readers, BLE and NFC tags, and IP cameras for face recognition, you may use virtual passes to automate entrance into the facility. Infomatika turnstiles are intelligent devices that can be integrated easily at the software level with other information and security systems. An important feature is the ability to simultaneously connect smart turnstiles to different systems. For emergency evacuation mode, turnstiles were integrated with fire and security alarms.

The doors to the buildings within the IT park have combined readers installed on them. These readers work in conjunction with the entrance turnstiles to provide basic access control capabilities including limiting access zones and managing admissions and visitor flows.The small and convenient combined readers is a joint ESMART® partnership solution.We have equipped the reader with an individual controller and QR code scanner.

With this solution, the reader can operate in two systems at once:

  • ACS - opening the door for residents using a mobile phone based on the BLE/NFC functionality;

  • Visitor management system – guests access via QR code.

Using BLE and NFC technologies, you can read virtual passes both in "hands-free" mode at a distance of 10 meters—even if your phone is in your pocket—and when you bring it up to the reader. When a signal for both permanent and transient passages allows or forbids passage, the illumination surrounding the reader changes color.

Visitor management System, Infomatika's in-house development, is integrated into the mobile application and the IT park website. A visitor needs simply to fill out an online application on the website or in the IT park application to obtain a one-time guest pass. He will then receive a special guest pass in the form of a QR code to be scanned with a smartphone to gain entry through the turnstiles and doors.

The application is submitted by either the visitor himself or a representative of the company that extended the invitation. A QR code is generated upon application submission, and the application status appears on the smartphone screen.The security service is only to approve the application online.The pass is invalid without the approval and the turnstile screen will inform users accordingly.

For approved entry, a visitor simply needs to hold his phone with the QR code to the turnstile scanner or combined wall reader at the door he is authorized to enter. By allowing visitors to take approved actions, the implementation of the Visitor management System greatly streamlines the visitor access process and boosts the facility's security.

Automation of access control based on the Infomatika software and hardware complex enhances the integration opportunities for building up services, reduces the load on security and reception services, cuts costs for administrative and technical personnel, improves the level of security and control over all visitor categories, speeds up and improves the quality of services, creates an innovative image of the Technopark, and minimizes human error.

Mobile identification benefits:

  • Remote issuance of a virtual card by e-mail or any other method;

  • The cell phone is rarely transferred to third parties, which reduces the possibility of fraud with access control or working hours recording;

  • A smartphone is a thing carried by most people at all times, so it can completely replace cards.

The work scope included:

  • Detailed design;

  • Manufacture, supply and installation of Contour Bio swing smart turnstiles - 18 passways (28 posts);

  • Manufacture, supply and installation of automatic Concept gates - 15 pcs.;

  • Equipping the entrance doors with combined QR code readers with a controller - 60 pcs.
