Winning the best innovative product 2021 award

The Mobile Access Control and Payment Station developed by Infomatika on the basis of smart turnstile Horizont.M.POS won the 25th anniversary competition The Best Innovative Product. The award ceremony was held as part of the Securika Moscow 2021 exhibition.

Securika Moscow is Russia's largest international exhibition of security and fire protection equipment.

The Best Innovative Product  is an annual innovation competition held as part of the Securika Moscow exhibition, intended to identify advanced achievements in the security industry. This year, 28 companies took part in the competition. Over its entire history, this project has received high recognition from security experts and has significantly influenced the image of the exhibition as a major industry event. Over the years, more than 900 domestic and foreign companies have participated in the Competition.

The main assessment criterion is the innovation component. A comprehensive assessment of innovative developments is provided by an expert jury. The competition committee includes expert from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, VANKB (World Academy of Science for Complex Security), and professional associations with extensive scientific and practical experience in the creation, introduction, and certification of security equipment.

The Mobile Access Control and Payment Station based on smart turnstile Horizon is a unique development of Infomatika and is unrivalled in the ACS market.

Horizon M. POS  ensures paid controlled access of visitors, accredited persons, and staff to the venue where it is impossible or impractical to install a stationary ACS. This is a fully self-contained device that allows you to provide access using both classic contactless cards and a barcode/QR code, as well as to pay for entry with a contactless bank card or a Troika transport card, issuing a fiscal receipt directly at the turnstile.

In contrast to the conventional stationary access control systems, this solution has the following several innovative features:

  • Direct payment at the turnstile with issuance of a fiscal receipt
In solutions similar in their intended use, a direct payment scheme, i.e. payment directly at the turnstile, is used only in transport and in the post-payment mode. In this case, the pass is allowed first, and then the bank charges the payment. In our case, the money is debited first, but if the visitor does not turn the turnstile, the transaction is automatically canceled. The allowed transaction amount is up to 1,000 rubles. Besides, the operation in accordance with the law is supported by sending fiscal data to the FDO and issuing a receipt. There are no rival solutions (except for transport, where the law does not allow printing a fiscal receipt).

  • Mobility
The device includes fully autonomous software, uninterruptible power supply and a sliding roller system for free movement of the turnstile, and built-in Wi-Fi for remote connection to another system. The mobile platform relieves from the need to use wired connections and allows you to move the turnstile around the site and install it at any location without damaging the flooring.

The platform is intentionally weighted to ensure sufficient stability without securing the device to the floor. The turnstile can also be moved when connected to power supply.

  • Uninterrupted operation
The turnstile can work even if there is no power supply. The built-in uninterruptible power supply guarantees 20 to 30 hours operation (depending on the load). You can either quickly replace the battery (for remote charging) or charge directly in the turnstile.

  • Self-containment
The Station can work in 2 modes (online/offline); there is no need to lay a communication cable for online work since the system uses Wi-Fi wireless communication technology. Offline mode is possible for using access cards and bar/QR codes. Paid access using bank cards or Troika is only possible if there is Internet connection.

  • Functionality
The system supports the full ACS functionality including logging events, mode control, double entry prohibition, evacuation, reporting, etc. It supports all types of barcodes, contactless cards ISO 14443 A/B, including contactless card UID.

  • Controllability
The System software has convenient integration interfaces for connecting to any external information or ticketing systems, but if necessary, it can be easily controlled and configured via a smartphone.

  • Adaptability
The system offers easy online reconfiguration, allowing you to move the turnstile, manage settings, and add turnstiles directly during events.
Increased security. The turnstile features vandal-proof design, is made of stainless steel, and meets the IP54 protection class, which allows safe outdoor operation.

Horizon M.POS can be used where it is impossible or inefficient to install the conventional stationary blocking access systems (turnstiles) for the following reasons:

  • the access control system (ACS) is needed temporarily and does not involve installation of communications;
  • low-quality or premium class floors that makes it impossible to secure turnstiles to the floor and lay communications under the foundation;
  • the checkpoints layout can be changed repeatedly;
  • conducting temporary events on the site;
  • ACS is installed outdoor without the possibility of electricity and communication to be connected.

Examples: open-air festivals, exhibitions and conferences, modern multifunctional arenas where the visitors flow pattern varies depending on the type of event. The system can be used to provide paid access at a preset rate (the rate can be quickly switched) without first buying a ticket: festivals and concerts, amusement parks, museums, ice rinks, etc.

We thank the competition committee for the high evaluation of our product! This award once again confirms the high professional competence of the company in development and production of specialized equipment and software for ticketing systems!
