Smart access system for the new Kazan IT-Park

On August 30, 2022, the new Bashir Rameyev IT Park was officially opened in Kazan. The tech park was named after the scientist and inventor who developed the first Soviet computers.

The new IT park is the second in Kazan and the third in the Republic of Tatarstan, with the total area of almost 50 thousand square meters and workplaces mainly arranged in the open space format. The IT park offers the largest esports arena in Russia in terms of the number of playing places, accessible not only for residents, but for all people of Kazan. In 2024, the Games of Future tournament will be held here.

A startup hub is located in the business incubator zone - "the center of attraction for innovative projects from all over Russia and neighboring countries", 50 residents will work in it.

The entrance areas of the IT park are equipped with the cutting-edge access system. Contour Bio smart-turnstiles, automatic Concept gates, smart QR-code readers at the entrance to individual areas were developed and manufactured by Infomatika. All ACS equipment have BLE/NFC readers to interface with the mobile application.

To use the access control system, no physical passes are required, only a mobile application. All interactions between the visitor and the venue can take place online, including the issuance of permanent and one-time passes, the booking of meeting rooms, and the payment for coworking. Once the pass is issued, the turnstiles will open even if the smartphone is turned off — this is how NFC technology works.

The IT park is currently in the technical mode.
